Everything Home . . . . winter is a surprisingly good time to list your home!

Writer: Jill MacdonaldJill Macdonald

The traditional listing season for real estate is spring. I always encourage clients who are wanting to sell, not to wait until "the spring." Winter brings anxious buyers who've gotten through the holidays and are ready to buy, and there is never much inventory this time of year. Currently here in Humboldt County there are only 356 residential listings. This time of year there is less competition and just as many buyers. Yes, landscaping is less than inspiring and it is difficult to get exterior projects done because of the weather, but the benefits of less competition in most cases out way these setbacks.
